Several times I had met with Theron once we had left the vicinity of Ar and all her outlying territories. But always the trysts were short-lived. Impromptu. And always ending long before I was ready to relinquish her back into the fold of pioused Initiates. It was then that I had held out my hand, as if to offer a tithe. Theron's hand opened receptively, as if going through the charade of motions with me... and yet when I dropped something into it, I closed my own hand over her own. Not allowing her to see what it was. "Think of me late at night, as often as you look upon it."
