Hired Swords

In the world of practiced seductions, the enslaved women probably ran circles around Emilian. Despite the fact he'd been held in bonds most of his entire life. Other than to fawn over a free woman's ability to accessorize her shoes with her purse, he was pretty useless. Well... except for the fact he could sing with a really pretty alto voice. He never did really know how to behave around people when it came to being bought and sold; trading hands, and such. It was clear the other man was eyeballing the kajirae on the chain behind him... and not him at all. It was only when he'd put his chin down and glanced off to the side that he saw a man sporting a belt loaded with artillery slowly ambling their way. He looked very... dangerous. Oddly it was that which caused his lips to quiver oh so slightly as a smile threatened.

"They need a little breaking in." Vedric chuckled, as three other fellows from the same vicinity gathered round to look the slutty gals over. Each in turn rose upon her tiptoes and displayed, so as to offset her best assets to whichever ogling eye she fell beneath. "Buy me, Master!"

"I just bought you!" Vedric smacked the one, and several men laughed aloud.

The Mercenary came right into their little party, crashing it without even a thought. No, he didn't notice the femmie silk slave getting weak kneed over him, he was looking over the women while trying to get the gist of the crowd.

"Not a bad lot... for out here." He chuckled, pausing to hitch the bandolier somewhat against his shoulder. See-sawing the tip of tongue in a gap between two teeth, he scratch his jaw as if bored with the tedious job set before him. "We can't have any gaps.. with the wagons once we start going through the gates. The Whities have a special arrangement with Torcadino's officials, if you know what I meant. Stay close. Are you offering a discount to the men who guard your ass all damn day, Merchant?" He said this good naturedly, directly to Vedric. A good ice breaker, he thought.

When the armed fellow strode right up to them, Emilian drew in a sharp breath as if he might faint at any moment. Oh how he yearned for some odd reason to reach right out and touch him. Staring straight at the fellow's big chest, he was just about to say something...

"Buy me, Master!" They were like broken records, weren't they? One kajira curled her hands round the mercenary's large bicep, as if she could not control the urge. Damn... they were big! "Your arm is so... big!" She'd naturally beaten the freak to the punch as she shouldered Emilian right out of her way in the process. Though, connected together on their chain network... he wasn't ousted all that far.

"No, not bad at all." Vedric grinned as one of the hired swords mosied over and had a look-see for himself. Then quick as a wit he added: "I'm headed for Kassau, up in the northern territory. I planned on adding several more to my chain between here and Brundisium." Brundisium... the city where they'd be parting ways... for he already knew the Initiates were headed south from that point, to Turia. "I think she likes you." He chuckled again, though he still slapped the wench across her backside to remind her of her place. "Kneel, bitch."
